Ken and all- Happy to clarify my first choice for mayor: McDonald. Everybody who asked who I was voting for heard why: I believed her to be most qualified. But first, they heard my standard disclaimer: I'm not publicly endorsing anyone. A few 9th Ward voters wanted to know anyway and I was happy to say what my personal vote would be. They understood the difference between a personal vote and a public endorsement. Ken's statement that I was "door knocking with Lisa McDonald" is completely, 100% false. Throughout the entire campaign, I never door knocked with Lisa. The three dozen volunteers who showed for my final lit drop organized out of the Blue Moon Cafe can testify that McDonald was not there. I never even saw Lisa her final week of the campaign until I went to her un-victorious party. I extended the offer to McDonald, Sayles Belton and Rybak's campaign to carry my lit with their own. Supporters of SSB dropped in one precinct, supporters of McDonald dropped in another, and despite Rybak's campaign wishes to not coordinate, Rybak's lit was dropped with mine in another precinct by two volunteers who support RT and me. And yup, my partner Jim endorsed and worked for Lisa. Fat lot of good it did! :) He is his own person and does what he wants.
