I have been building better neighborhoods for 20 years as an artist and community organizer and I think I would be a good Park Board commissioner. I have a considerable track record as a neighborhood activist. I have been involved in youth programing, native plant restoration, solar energy, festival organizing, Mississippi watershed cleanup and multicultural celebrations, community gardens, grassroots democracy, community oriented policing, African immigrant issues and have a pretty good knowledge of the Park Board's strengths and weaknesses.
I think I am the better candidate and I am willing to discuss Park issues on this forum or any other forum. There are not many opportunities to give voters a chance to make an educated choice about which candidate is more qualified.

I am interested in knowing who members think is the better candidate for my District (3) and why.  Thanks, Scott Vreeland
