Remember: our rules allow pointed disagreement, but require respectful discussion. -- List Members, When MNDOT announced that it was to stop construction on the 55/62 interchange and in effect "walking away from the table" as MCWD Administrator Evenson aptly says; it should be known or highlighted, that there is a precedent for this conduct by organizations that are being address my the legitimate concerns of South Minneapolis residents. Specifically, when the community/neighborhood members of MASAC-Metropolitan Aircraft Sound Abatement Council-attempted to address the issue of the MAC holding to its sound abatement commitment, the airline industry members of MASAC walked out of the meeting and decided to withhold participation in the Council. There is a pattern of conduct here, when South Minneapolis residents address legimate/legal issues that affect the quality of life in South Minneapolis, the opposing parties use a defense strategy-that of thwarting a solution by withholding the "tool" to reach a solution-the just "walk away form the table." Political candidates in the upcoming election-take note of this issue. Steve Stolarek Ward 11 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
