Minneapolis, MN: Friday, September 26, 2001 STATE OFFICIALS FROM MINNEAPOLIS ENDORSE R.T. RYBAK New Priorities and New Leadership Needed for Minneapolis at Capitol, Legislators Say Business Consultant and Mayoral Candidate R.T. Rybak was endorsed for Mayor today by a group of Legislators and administration officials who live in Minneapolis. State Representative Len Biernat (59A), State Representative Margaret Anderson Kelliher (60A), State Senator Myron Orfield (60), State Representative Scott Dibble (60B), State Representative Jim Davnie (62A) State Commissioner of Children, Families and Learning Christine Jax, State Commissioner of Administration David Fisher, and Deputy Director of Minnesota Planning Jack Uldrich joined State Senator Jane Ranum (63) and State Representative Jean Wagenius (63A) in endorsing Rybak. Ranum and Wagenius had endorsed Rybak previously. �All these leaders live in Minneapolis and care about its future. That future depends in part on Minneapolis making a aggressive case for its priorities at the Legislature. In order to do this well, we need an energetic new leader who will work with legislators and reach out to all state leaders across party and ideological lines,� Rybak said.
