I saw Jose Cervantes interviewed on Almanac several weeks ago. Apparently, a part went out. The only manufacturer, located in Ohio, did not have one and they had to manufacture the part. It is currently being done and the clock should be working again shortly.
It has nothing to do with the renovations. It happened once before and the clock company had a part so they shipped right away. This time they had no part.
