Those of us concerned about police abuse need to be asking what RT is
providing in return for the police federation endorsement? How is this
going to hinder him from taking any meaningful positions to usefully
challenge or change police practices if elected?
I really don't believe that this endorsement is "selling out." To me it's a means of opening a dialogue between the Mayor and the rank and file. Perhaps the fact that SSB has never had the endorsement of the Federation is an indication of the lack of dialogue between the Chief, the Mayor and the rank and file.
