Mr. Brauer asked if Council Member McDonald's opinion of the two remaining mayoral candidates will affect how I will vote in November. Yes. I have supported and worked on all three of Lisa's campaigns. I respect her opinions and value her advice.
One of my first thoughts after we lost was who do I vote for now? I have not spoken to Lisa personally about the issue, but the article gives me good reasons to lean towards the existing Mayor and why not to vote for Mr. Rybak. Have I made up my mind? No. Am I leaning towards the S. S. Belton? Yes. On the subject of which candidate would be easier for Lisa to face in 4 years, there is disagreement amongst her supporters. Some say that after 3 terms, Sharon would be easier to beat. Others say that after 12 years Sharon will not run again, there will be a crowded field to replace her and Ms. McDonald will be in the same position she was in this year. Others say Mr. Rybak will not be up to the job and be easy to beat in 4 years. As always in politics, it involves human behavior and is all just speculation. In other words, your guess is as good as mine and both are probably wrong. -Gary Thaden Ward 10 Legislative District 60A _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A Civil City Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest option, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
