I read this exchange with interest. Jonathan Palmer accuses Dean Kallenbach of ignoring African American voters... Rick Stafford defends Kallenbach and muddies the waters by questioning Dean Zimmerman's comments about prostitution... Eva Young asks for clarification...
When I began reading the e-mail from Jenny Heiser I thought for a second it might actually be Kallenbach posting live and in person before I remembered Jenny is Zimmerman's wife. Zimmerman basically said the comment was part of brainstorming for solutions, not an official position and I SIMPLY WANT TO ADVOCATE for him a little bit. Dean (Zimmerman) and I had a lengthy conversation about this very topic a few years ago, and above all he was extremely CARING and DELIBERATIVE. His biggest concern seemed to be for the women themselves who are engaged in prostitution, and also for the folks who live around it and suffer the nuisance as well as the danger. Eva, I hope his explanation satisfies you and I hope you two can have an opportunity to work together to solve this horrible problem. -Nikki Carlson 13-2 _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A Civil City Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest option, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
