I love how the critics point to "politics" as the reason for this short term
loan to get some houses started in the Near Northside Redevelopment Project.
This project has been imbibed with politics since the day it was conceived
and will continue to be long after the last family has moved in. With both
its critics and supporters equally guilty.

The bottom line is that in the next week or so the first new houses will
begin construction on the Northside. And baring a ultra-mild winter, if
they don't start now they wouldn't be able to start until next April. Tell
the first families that move in next year that it was only because of
"politics" that they got to move in 5 months early.
