On the Sharon Sayles Belton website, there is a link to a page called,
"Separating facts from fodder."
It says (emphasis added):

<quote>
    The Mayor's opponent likes to complain about minority percentages on
city
    police force.R.T.--you say you were once a reporter. Can you spell
the facts?

    The facts speak for themselves:

    2000 US Census for *Minnesota*: 10% Minority Population
    2000 *Minneapolis* Police Department: 15.11% sworn minority
employees
<end of quote>

Anybody know offhand what the minority population of *Minneapolis* is?

(By the way, I'm not suggesting that the statistics are a reason to vote
for the candidate endorsed by the Minneapolis Police Federation.)
