BWAH HA HA HA HA! I'm sorry, it's hard to keep from gut laughing after reading that. Thanks "Dean" for responding....or did he?
You know it's really nice that Rick forwarded the response to the list, even though it reads a lot more like something he would say. Normally, I wouldn't question, but I've heard rumors of certain Sena-I mean people writing Kallenbach's materials for him, so rather than spread rumors, I'll just ask flat out, who really wrote that "response" and further who writes Kallenbach's literature and and his responses to questionnaires? I've heard rumors of various people doing it for him, and Rick stated that the campaign didn't get a lot help, which would seem to contradict what I've heard. And since it would be irresponsible to spread rumors, I'll just ask it flat out. I, by the way, wrote my own campaign materials. I'm just trying to ascertain who's ideas our esteemed candidate is putting forth. Is he a man of the people, or a man of certain people. See, I find it fascinating that in the New Economy and the Information Age, the DFL-Endorsed candidate has an email address but "doesn't" personally own a computer. Little bit disconcerting, in my mind, but hey, personally preference and all. I'm just wondering how he keeps in touch with people on email. I've gotten emails from him before, so either he's just popping in using other people's computers or his work computer (I would hazard a guess that a big insurance company like the one he works for does have computers and he uses one). Since, he does have an email address, and must have access to a computer, why was it necessary to have Rick forward it to the list? Why not just send it himself after "composing" it. See, that kind of makes me question the validity of responses because of what I've heard regarding materials and answers composition, but more specifically because on some of the questions that I posed I've heard little more than "ditto" from the DFL-endorsed candidate. Boy, if he had expressed this much knowledge earlier in the race, I would have gotten behind him. There's a discrepancy between what I've heard from the candidate and the views expressed in the response. If I might ask a followup, how did you come to these opinions, and where did you get your information regarding these issues. Oh by the way, I find it interesting that he would seek to insinuate that I should keep his calendar and keep him informed on things that as the "best" candidate the DFL has to offer he really ought to know. Kallenbach has never informed or reminded me of ANY events, and certainly not in the GLBT community, so I'm uncertain why it should be my responsibility to keep him informed of things in the African American community. Steppin Fetchit has retired, might I suggest picking up an Insight News once in a while, or like I suggested before, calling. Oh wait, that's right, Kallenbach said that: "My campaign picks up each edition of Insight News, which I review--in it no mention of a Lucille's Kitchen Forum for Sixth Ward." Well Dean, I'm looking at the October 15th Edition, page two, inside middle section which has the listing for the 6th Ward forum. I guess you must have missed that in your "review". Either a little more honesty or a little more certainty needs to be in your statements. I was also busy listening to Dean K tell me that Dean Z was "doing his work for him" by telling people that they should reopen the saunas to keep his calendar. A rumor which I think has been explained has been taken out of context. I think I already stated my policy on rumor spreading, wish my DFL-rep felt the same. I'm glad to hear the positions, because I've been making a list of what both of our candidates have said, and I'll be certain to pressure whoever is in to keep their word. Interesting, that in now the busiest time, that the candidate seems to find time to "post" or at least have his campaign manager forward a response from "him". There just seems to be a lot of holes in this "response", I'm still trying to figure out why he hasn't shown up at anything, but has the time to "send a response". Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. Oh and two final question, I've heard that Dean and/or the Kallenbach campaign has made some claims of endorsements of people such as Jim Niland. Since, I believe it would be illegal to falsify any claims to support especially without the documentation, could one of you clarify the validity of these claims of support? And is there a particular reason you put "persons of color" in quotes through out "Dean's" response? I'm just wondering.
