Some time ago, North Phillips Press (which is a publication of Project
504) asked all of the sixth ward candidates two questions based on a
scenario about a mother of four and her struggle to maintain safe and
decent housing for her family in the neighborhood. We will be printing
the responses to those questions in English, Spanish, and Somali, with a
target of next week for distribution in the neighborhood. For those who
want an early e-mail version of those questions and answers, simply
e-mail me and I'll send them out in English. If you know folks who
would benefit from Somali or Spanish versions, let me know and those can
be e-mailed out by Tuesday. I'd post the answers to this list, but they
are rather lengthy and thought it would be best that you request the
answers instead (maybe we can post them on Toolkit?).

In any event, my sincere apologies to Jonathan Palmer, Tamir Nolley,
Barb Lickness, and Christopher Bryant for not being able to print their
responses prior to the primary (Shada did not respond)--the task of
translating the responses into Somali and Spanish later became too
daunting within a tight timeframe. I will say, however, that I was very
impressed by the depth of thought many had on this issue and, if anyone
wants the primary candidates' responses, simply let me know and it would
be easy to e-mail those out as well.
