Riverside Power Plant Public Meeting We need you to attend a public hearing on the Xcel Riverside coal burning power plant.
7:00-9:00 PM Thursday, November 29 Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church 1509 27th Avenue NE, Minneapolis 6 blocks east of Central, on the corner of Lincoln St. and 27th Ave. (from south Minneapolis, take the Johnson Street St. exit off 35W, follow Johnson Street to 27th Avenue, turn left at 27th and go one block to Lincoln.) The Minnesota pollution Control Agency is hosting this public meeting on the Xcel Riverside plant's permit, which is now up for its five-year renewal. The emissions coming out of Riverside affect every neighborhood and the Mississippi River. Coal fired plants are among the largest polluters in the state. Ask questions about what the State of Minnesota and Xcel Energy are doing to clean up the plant. Find out how air pollution affects your neighborhood and your health.
