Folks involved in ALL campaigns I've come accross tend to say negative and catty things about their opponents. That's politics. MA's email to me mentioning that Brock was running a "family values" campaign suggested that Brock was going to try to use Lilligren's homosexuality against him. That's what "family values" is -- a code word for anti-gay messages. I don't believe MA had any connection with the Brock campaign. Certainly the Mayor's campaign was not happy with MA, his posts or his Sharon Sayles Belton website. > >First of all, I don't believe the story - sounds to me >like it's a jealous, desperate reaction to Selvaggio's >support for Robert Lilligren. Seems like anyone with >any degree of integrity has supported Lilligren or >nobody. Has Brock gotten any endorsements? Actually the Brock campaign HAS gotten the endorsement of AFSCME. They did not as I recall put out a press release about the matter -- which suggests extremely poor campaign management and organization. They also have the endorsement of Senator Linda Berglin and Council Member Dore Mead. Added to that, the email I sent today to the brock campaign bounced -- with the message that the email address promoted by the campaign -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] was over quota. I find that rather odd. I happen to know that Robert's campaign gets a lot of email from his campaign website -- and most of that is from supporters. So Brock is missing out on the opportunity to get supporters through her campaign email address.

I doubt that either Cherryhomes or Garcia is offering any help to Brock's campaign. The campaign would be better run or organized if Garcia was involved. I'm sure that Cherryhomes is worrying about her own campaign. She does not want to be involved in lost causes -- and the Brock campaign at this point is a lost cause. >And tell us more about Basim Sabri and Vicky Brock. >Seems like an awful lot of Sabri's friends, employees, >and accomplices support Brock. Brian Herron came out in opposition to the Motel because the issue was beginning to hurt his campaign. His office had never gotten as many calls as it got regarding Motel Central. Vickie Brock -- should she get elected -- would respond to the same type of constituent pressure. >I also heard that the >recent delays in bringing Sabri to justice are at the >FBI's request - is the investigation expanding to >include Vicky Brock? Brock failed to show up to the debate last week because she was ill with asthma. Her campaign manager, Matthea Little Smith reported that Brock would possibly get hospitalized.
