"I just heard that the City Council narrowly approved
the demolition permit for the Guthrie Theatre.

Down goes a piece of Minneapolis history and a cool
stage.

Up goes a parking ramp.

Time for a change...

-- Holle Brian
Bancroft"

how could this possibly be an indication that there is
a need for change at city hall? i realize it is close
to election time, but i fail to see the connection.

people complain about the need for parking ramps, but
are they walking or taking the bus to work? are they
buying smaller cars to save gas and space?

blaming politicans for our lack of self control, gives
them more power than they deserve, and gives us an
excuse not to act.

for example, how many people attended the hearing
about the guthrie? i didn't really see this
groundswell of support to save it.
