What happened to the days when baseball teams built their own parks....
Baseball under a roof is stupid, but seemed like a good idea almost 20 years ago.
What was wrong with met stadium? Maybe the vikings needed something else, but wasn't it good for baseball?
We lost the North Stars, and now we have the Wild, not the same, deal with it....or at least that's what I was told about the wonderful new freeway through Minnehaha park, just deal with it!
We lost the trees at Minnehaha and now the rest of the park is all "pretty" and the oak savannah is a parking lot. So we lose things everyday, and we wring our hands but say, it's gonna happen, well, the reason it happens is because we let it. We at least felt so strongly about seven houses and an oak savannah that we took a stand. We said no. I committed myself to changing the politics that allows these policies to be implemented with no public discourse.
We had schoolchildren come by and ask us why we we're there and they couldn't believe the state was doing what it was doing. For future generations...of consumers.
