Sorry, Tony, if it wasn't you who said that. I remember it
as being you. At any rate, it wasn't meant to diss you, but
to show what the consequences of turning over decision
making to the neighborhoods would be. In my estimation it
was a very accurate assessment--city council did lose some
power by turning over decision making and money to the
neighborhoods. I don't think there was anything evil about
the statement. I do know you were involved in the process
and craffting the plan. I also remember it as you asking the
question about where the money for the second ten years
would come from. The second ten years is upon us, and that
question does not seem to be settled. In my estimtion, that
makes you right twice.
The question then becomes, for some issues, can we project
for 20 years or is that too much time?
I, too, am a DFLer and not paarticularly sorry about that.
My question is more about where is the DFL going and how
will we get there.
