I sez: The error is not in the arguments, but in the underlying assumptions that support them. Put the river first, then talk about development. Kinda simple, really, but until we agree on that, all arguments will be circular. Perhaps we have traveled too far from what we used to have to consider saving a great river worth the effort, even when we have the tools to do it. All the posts on "What's Missing" should be a clue that sometimes you can't bring back what you used to take for granted.
