The old Hennepin bridge over the river with it's road-bed you could see through
The movie theater in the basement of the IDS
The first Nicollet Mall! (with 7 fountains, bus shelters on All corners, 
lights on Both sides of the street, heated sidewalks and the Calder 
mobile/stabile in front of Dayton's, and classical music in the air)
Hussey Hatters on the Glenwood/7th Street triangle
Downtown auto dealers like Bill Boyer Ford and Downtown Chevy Town, etc.
Mansions facing Loring Park across Harmon Place
Vocational High School
The Coca-Cola bottling plant
The old sprawling gas works behind  Seven Corners
Pioneer Square Park in front of the Post Office, and Hawthorne Park near 
12th and Hennepin
The IBM Building on Marquette and Washington
Plantation Pancakes on 5th and Hennepin
All of those great small businesses on Block E, the City Center block, 
south Nicollet Mall and the Lower Loop
Dania Hall and Holtzerman's Department Store on Cedar Ave.

Home made taffy at Lake Harriet (the recipe died with the guy who made it)
