Eduardo Parra writes: To his credit CM Lilligren showed his independence and didn't sign Comrade Ostrow's pledge. David Piehl writes: Apparently there are several folks who declined to sign the "list", and I agree - kudos to all those who did not sign. How can a council member effectively represent the neighborhoods that elected them if they are making pledges of allegiance to other councilmembers??? I'm very concerned about Ostrow's recent maneuvering - while I know he's got a lot of very positive experience, etc, it really feels like he's establishing a new voting block that will continue (or at least have the ability) to force unpopular projects on the residents. Maybe I'm just a little paranoid in light of the previous council, but I'm seeing a lot of bizarre things going on. ( like the potential of Colvin Roy in charge of transportation; does this mean more transportation projects will be handled like highway 55??).
