The Strib has a story in the HomeZone section on vacancy rates and rent levels in Minneapolis and first and second tier suburbs:
http://www.startribune.com/stories/417/894168.html One comment: I'd like to know the vacancy rates for larger units, which are in considerable demand because of family size. It's been pretty well known that one bedroom vacancy rates and rents have been inching out of the crisis zone for some time. The more critical question is the rates and rents for larger units. Also, if this trend continues (one bedrooms opening up and rents dropping), what does it portend for developments with primarily one bedroom (and some two bedroom) units?
