I would suggest that what Eva witnesses in Randy Kelly is 25 years of saying all those things a politician wants to say, but to be careful about the follow-up. I suggest partisanship is coming into serious play in this dialogue.
But I also agree with Alan on the interference in appointments processes. However, one may complain, but still expect this and every party to at least try to influence appointments as much as elections. It's the way of the world. Can't really blame them for trying.
