What follows is a media advisory about submitting nominations for the Minneapolis Redistricting Commission -- the deadline is Feb. 1, 2002. Also, folks interested in learning more about this Commission (and the more than 56 boards, commissions and advisory committees with the City of Minneapolis), should be sure to attend the Citizens Fair on Jan. 2, 2002 -- Inauguration day for the Mayor and City Council. The Citizens Fair is being held in the City Hall Rotunda, from 3 - 6 p.m., Wednesday Jan. 2, 2002. It will be an opportunity for folks to meet the Mayor and other City Officials; learn more about serving on the various city boards and commissions; sign-up to get involved in all kinds of city, school, park and library programs; learn about city job openings; and participate in an interactive mural project led by Marilyn Lindstrom and Ta-coumba Aiken. Thanks. - Sara Dietrich, City of Minneapolis Communications Department (and Kingfield resident)
