I got to the restaurant about 6:30 or so...There were so many conversations going on at once, I was a little intimidated at first. I got to meet David and filled out my little name tag.
I scurried over to where Mike Hohmann and Meg Forney were sitting and introduced myself; I REALLY wanted to interrupt all the conversations and just go around the table and meet everyone, so I am glad when we finally did that at about 6:55pm or so. Please take this comment at face value only and realize that I am smirking as I write it: I don't know how I managed to plant myself at the table with all the Republicans, but I did. It wasn't as traumatic as I thought it might be. LOL!!! ;-) I wish I could have stayed longer, but I went from the meeting I was at prior to the party to a meeting I had after that and finally got home at about 11:00pm. *WHEW* I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food and I didn't order anything there. I stopped at the McDonalds afterward (sorry). I CAN say, though, that they DON'T know how to pour a Guinness draught. :-) Bob Velez Shingle Creek Ward 4 > Well, I got there for only the last hour or so and Wizard and I closed > the party down about 10:00 - we left the balloons but I have the name > tags.
