Lynn et al,

I want to echo Lynn's sentiments. Myself, and every person I've chatted
with about this subject, is of the opinion that the rainbow addition to
our skyline appears to be a giant bombpop in the sky. I think it is
rather hideous. It ranks up there with the current downtown library
building in terms of attractiveness. And I'd say the downtown library
has one up on the building...at least the downtown library has the
excuse that the architect that designed it was designing buildings
during a time in which many architects seemed to have been bitten by the
ugly bug.

Subject: [Mpls] Red/White/Blue, Rainbow, Lightening Bolt

Here's a fun question for everyone-does any one know what say the City
has on the "lovely" light show that has been created within the last 6
months on the City's skyline...that is-what was this brand-new-Class A
building manager thinking when authorizing the lighting up of the top of
the building in a rainbow or occasionally a "lightening bolt" dancing
around the top of the building? Am I the only one that thinks this is
just a little tacky-can the City do anything to insist on a single
color-like plain ol' white or yellow light?
