Minneapolis' Capital Long-range Improvement Committee (CLIC) is looking for
10 residents to fill current vacancies. The committee makes recommendations
to the Minneapolis City Council and Mayor on the five-year capital
improvement program. The committee consists of 33 members. The Mayor
appoints seven. Two representatives from each of the City's 13 Wards round
off the rest of the membership.

There are currently 10 vacancies. They are as follows: two Mayoral
appointees, one from Ward 3, one from Ward 4, two from Ward 6, two from Ward
8 and one from Ward 12. Members serve two-year terms expiring on January 31
of odd-numbered years. Copies of applications are forwarded to the Mayor,
City Council Members and the Director, Capital & Debt Management. The
Mayor's appointments are made directly without City Council confirmation.
Council Members nominate residents of their wards for consideration by the
Ways & Means/Budget Committee for appointment by the City Council.

Generally, CLIC holds two meetings a month, from March through July, and
occasional meetings during the rest of the year. Meetings occur on Tuesdays
at noon in City Hall and last approximately two hours.
