The committee makes recommendations to the Minneapolis City Council and Mayor on the five-year capital improvement program. The committee consists of 33 members. The Mayor appoints seven. Two representatives from each of the City's 13 Wards round off the rest of the membership.
There are currently 10 vacancies. They are as follows: two Mayoral appointees, one from Ward 3, one from Ward 4, two from Ward 6, two from Ward 8 and one from Ward 12. Members serve two-year terms expiring on January 31 of odd-numbered years. Copies of applications are forwarded to the Mayor, City Council Members and the Director, Capital & Debt Management.
