[TB] The noted that the *federal* statute he was charged with violating
was found unconstitutional because it wasn't necessary to show that the
alleged bribery involved federal money. The judge noted in his opinion
that bribery of a public official is a violation of *state* law and
seemed to be inviting state charges to be filed.
Bets here are that it doesn't take very long for new charges to be
filed. I personally find no fault in the judges ruling that the feds
can't make a federal issue out of everything. What is alleged to have
happened is clearly illegal, its just that it is an issue for the State
of Minnesota to deal with not the federal government.
