The whole public financing thread reaches a more morose level when you realize that public funds have already been spent by the truckload vis a' vis the fact that, for years now, there have been municipal, county, state and likely federal employees, in addition to many well-paid, esteemed elected officials, toiling their hours away chawing over the issue on the taxpayer's dime.
