Dear list-readers of this list, Apparently I just can't get enough when it comes to maps. I've been thinking for a while about how neat it would be to see a dot map showing location of each mpls-issues list subscriber. I checked this out with Mr. David Brauer and he seemed to think it would be okay to toss out the idea.
So, what do you think? This map would only be possible if members voluntarily participate by submitting address or street-intersection or some-kind-of location info to me. I would somehow have to swear on my life that this individual data would be kept private. The only thing I'd release is the resulting dot map, which anonymously identifies our locations, home/work or both. Is it worth the effort? Or do I scrap the idea and go out crow watching instead.
