Hennepin Ave. will be closed beginning Feb. 16 for approximately six weeks due to light rail construction. It will reopen on or around April 1.
Buses will be detoured from Hennepin Ave. onto Nicollet Ave. between 12th St. and Washington Ave. 5th St. traffic will be detoured onto Marquette Ave. to 3rd St. to 1st Ave. N. and back to 5th St. Northbound Hennepin Ave. traffic will be detoured onto 7th St. to 2nd Ave. N. to Washington Ave. and back to Hennepin Ave. Traffic entering the downtown area east of Hennepin Ave. will be detoured onto 12th, 10th, 8th and 6th streets to avoid congestion. Access to all parking ramps will be maintained. Questions?
