By request of the Mississippi Corridor Community Alliance business members I submit the following meeting notice to all upper river corridor businesses of the developing Citizen Advisory Committee for the "Above the Falls" Master Plan:
Upper Mississippi River Corridor Business Meeting to select Business Representatives to the Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) The City of Minneapolis has approved a vision for the upper river corridor - Above The Falls, A Master Plan for the Upper River in Minneapolis (Plan). Implementing that Plan will be a big job for the next three decades or more. In order to ensure that the ultimate build-out of the upper river corridor is consistent with what is best for the river and the people in the corridor, the City has established a citizen review process. The Citizen�s Advisory Committee (CAC) is now being formed. The CAC will be made up of representatives from a broad-based cross section of stakeholders, including business and industrial representatives. Please consider serving on this Committee. If you are interested in this important planning effort, join your business neighbors on Wednesday, February 20th to learn more about serving on the CAC and the commitment involved. At this meeting, there will be a brief presentation about the Plan and the role of the CAC, and applications for those interested in representing businesses on the CAC will be accepted. We will attempt to select 5 representatives and 10 alternates that most broadly represent the diverse businesses in the corridor. We have been asked by the Minneapolis Community Development Agency (MCDA) to make our picks and submit them to the MCDA by March 8. If you are unable to attend this meeting but are interested in serving on the CAC, contact the Mississippi Corridor Community Alliance (Alliance) at (612) 588-3377 or by e-mail at [EMAIL PROTECTED] to receive an application.
