The best one that I ever got from the Solid Waste Department was a letter telling me that they were unable to pick up my trash because I had not cleared the snow around the trash containers. (They did not pick up the trash that week on the scheduled day.) The irony of the whole letter was that it was May two years ago and it was in the 60 to 70 degree temperature range the entire week! There was no snow to be found anywhere. I called about the letter and got the standard "it's your fault" routine. We asked them to read the letter back to us that they had on file. They read the letter, said it was because of snow, there was a pause and then they hung up on us. An hour later they were picking up the trash.
