Terry writes-- If you live on my street you never have to worry about being towed during snow emergencies. Cars parked illegally are ticketed but NEVER towed. My street becomes a maze-like during years of heavy snow with the plow weaving in and out of parked cars. Yes, I have complained in past years but no response. I guess getting towed depends on where you park your car during snow emergencies. The funny thing is that I would have thought the EMTs and firefighters would complain because they respond to at least one call per day from the nursing home next door.
Terry Erickson Whittier --------------------- This is the experience in my neighborhood as well. The parking density here isn't as severe as in Terry's neighborhood, but every SE there are a few scofflaw cars who get tickets but no one is ever towed. Of course, these cars are spaced just far enough apart to create a lovely wave effect after the plows have been through. People are learning that the tow trucks never visit our street. Just once I'd like to see the tickets and plows start on my street. Does Public Works have a set SE plowing schedule? As in start with downtown and work outwards?
