It's absolutely remarkable (coincidental?) that this post this morning has been followed by the following headline in the Strib online edition this afternoon: "Massive increase in eye disease predicted for United States," and the accompanying story describes how the numbers of people with vision impairment or blindness is expected to double in the next 30 years.
So, spend the money, and we should support those protesting the stinginess of the theater chain.
