I've followed last weeks the tragic event between
the police and Somalia immigrant. Please let's me to say first that for me and
everyone, to lose a life is a tragedy for the family, community and the
society...But we need to be realistic. Not so many people were concerned
about the dangerous job that police are doing in tiwncities and in US
generally.
Do you know how many police were killed last year?
Not one and two, but several tens that means hundreds. In my view the role
of police in a democratic society are very important. That means that citizens
need to know their rights and their responsities.
I never thought as immigrant to take the gun and to
go on the public areas. No. I hate the guns and I'm really
surprise how the American loved the guns.
We need to educate the society free
guns and free violence.That does not mean to rise the voice about
the "Constitutional rights". We are living in 21st century, and we need to
correct something form US constitute. That means that no one has the right
to have the guns exclude the special forces. Back in my home country we've an
expression "If you took out your gun, use it or put into your ass..." Sorry for
that. So how we can WE build a society free guns, free violence...It's
hard.
Please, believe me, no any immigrants came in US
with idea that one day they could use the guns. No. Let's remined you that
America was the "last station"of hopes, dreams and peace. Go back in the
history of this country. All that came here saw in this country the "last
station" of the hopes and the dreams in their own countries. They came to
restart the life. According the historical conditions they came with
guns to fights against native Americans to have more room in this "promised
land".This societies tray to apologies what other did with
native-Americans...
We all came here with hopes that no more violence,
no more crimes, murders...But we still have a lot. How we can contribute to
minimize this rate of crimes? No way by attacking the police forces. They
are on duty. They have very dangerous job to do.
They are first line against the crimes and
violent people. We discussed so much for Somalia immigrants that took the guns
on the public area. It's right, but what we might say if he was going to
shot against a bus? He was mentally ill. In this case we will go against
police in the since why they did not kill him?
Dear friends,
America is suffering form so many deasises. Let's
cure it because we love It. For me the first deases is the crime and the guns on
the civilians. Let's stop it. War industry is getting enough profit from the
billions that congress has approved on the bill "against the terrorism". I'm
hoping that just the owner of the war industry will come in public to speak out
and to say : "We do not need any more to sell the guns to civilian...The
profit is enough..".But How they can get full with money? There are billions and
the Bush is asking for several billions more...
I'm on the side of police for one simple reason:
they are the fighter for the freedom and peace, in spite of the mistakes that
they can do. Can you imagine what happen in this country after 9/11 if
police will be so weak? All the citizens well attack to kill the Muslim people?
Let's remember what happen to India. There were killed only 25 Indus (we do not
know by whom) and the Indus took the knives and killed alums 700 Muslims. What
could happen here after 9/11 if the police will be so weak where were
killed 3000 people.? Where could be hidden 6-7 millions Muslims from if
would be attaeced by 200 millions non Muslims let's say.In this tragic
moment in US were killed only 5-6 people.Still thery are the people, but if it
will happpen in Saudia Arabi let's say all non muclim will be killed... My
roots are in Muslim religions.
So, let's give than chance the police to do their
job. The democracy could not be working without police at least for several
centuries. We need to support the police, because they are the people that are
starting the job not by saying "have a good day" but bay saying "Have a safety
day... and come back home darling..."
If you are thinking differently, go back and serve
several weeks as police officer.
I'm form Albania. 5 years ago in my country as well
as in Somalia, the state lost the control over the population. Do you know what
happen? We were on the brick of civil war. Thanks the international support that
we saved our nation from the civil war... What will happen in US if all them
that lost the savings in Enron will demonstrate and will go to attack the
White Hme? They will be killed by police for sure or the US will be into the
chaos.
Do not forget the results experience from
violence. Let's say stop to violence first after that let's talk. Over than 2
years in US I never was stopped by police. Not because I am white, but
because I know WHAT IS THE RULEe OF LOW. Do not
forget. The rule of low is the A-B- C - of democracy...
Do not hate the police. Love them and they will
never kill you...
