City Council Members Scott Benson and Sandy Colvin Roy will host a Public Meeting this week to review the latest developments concerning the Metropolitan Airports Commission's Updated Part 150 Residential Sound Insulation Program.
The Public Meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, 2002 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Nokomis Community Center, 2401 East Minnehaha Parkway (North side of Lake Nokomis). Executive Director Jeff Hamiel and other MAC officials will be on hand to respond to citizen's questions and comments on the current status and future course of the MAC's plans to extend its noise mitigation program into areas of South Minneapolis and other noise-polluted communities which lie within the newly defined 64-60 DNL contour.
