Check out Steve Brandt's article on the North
Mississippi Regional Park's new Interpretive Center in
today's Star Tribune:

Then plan to see it in person by joining hundreds of
your friends and neighbors across the city and beyond
for the festivities this coming Saturday, May 4th (10
a.m.) to celebrate this year's official Arbor Day
planting at the North Mississippi Regional Park as
well as the grand opening and dedication of the
Interpretive Center.

We have every reason to be proud of this successful
endeavor that resulted in a much needed amenity for
the north side of Minneapolis that celebrates the
area's rich history and the mighty and grand
Mississippi River.

Join the many residents from north and northeast who
made this Center possible by making this year's Arbor
Day event and the grand opening/dedication of the
Interpretive Center a huge success.

The Interpretive Center is at 4900 N. Mississippi
Drive - headed west on I-94, exit the 49th-53rd Avenue
North ramp. Turn right at the top of the ramp on 49th
at the main entrance. You can't miss it, you won't
want to!
