JH: Tim has made a most salient point in the last paragraph of his post. And the
linkage he
creates between observable urban pollution and the laudable peaceable direct action
that CM takes to
draw peoples' attention to a viable alternative by modeling positive behavior is
especially
noteworthy. Here is a group of people -- some of whom are middle-aged, middle-class
people like you
and me -- who "walk what they talk."

Given that many Christian people have just observed Easter, celebrating the
crucifixion and
resurrection of one of the world's greater messengers of love, hope and tolerance,
does anyone else
see the irony here besides me? The MPD assault on Critical Mass bike riders -- not all
of whom are
so-called 'wild-eyed radicals,' -- on "Good " Friday . . . What is it about human
nature that seems
driven to crucify the messenger(s) of hope, of promise of a saner, healthier, more
just, more humane
world?
