Greeting Forum members, I have just been informed, by a phone call from a friend, that the school my daughter attends will be "Fresh Started" next year. There was no parent involvement, no advance discussion, I have not even received "official" notification. As an active member of my school's PTO, Futures Committee and First Grade Parent Network, I feel blind-sided.
However, I am now in the position of having to "shop" for a school for my daughter to attend next year. She will be a 2nd grader. Yes, we are an "out of district" family, but my preference is that we remain in the Minneapolis Public Schools. I know that many of you are passionate about the schools that your children attend. Off list, I would greatly appreciate recommendations or ideas regarding schools that you believe strongly in.
