The answere is I'm afraid, no. When I posted with an idea of placing an 
eviscerated hulk on the ice to determine "ice out" and then pondered whether 
the Governor might be interested in the job, I received nothing but 
environmentalist screeches about pollution.
To make sure I hadn't just told a poorly constructed joke I tried it out on 
probably fifteen people in my neighborhood. They all found it quite amusing. 
Also, wonkish ones, when they place a car on the ice in small town Minnesota, 
it of course has no engine, transmission, fluids etc. (see "junked out", 
'eviscersted'). It's just a cleaned up skeleton and when it sinks it makes a 
nice little fresh water reef. The fish dig it.
Explaining humor is just a dismal effort. I shall dismiss all levity or urges 
toward larkishness from all future postings. Sigh.
