Weber-Camden and Victory were the FIRST organizations to take the City up on
the Adopt program, and have been consistent, enthusiastic and EFFECTIVE
examples of the best that the Adopt program can facilitate. I still
remember the time after their second cleanup when they accused me of
pre-cleaning, because 44th was in such good shape the day they cleaned!!
Nope, we didn't pre-clean........streets, blocks, neighborhoods that are
actively showing that they care about their premises, and show the caring
with a commitment, tend to stay cleaner.

Weber-Camden and Victory Rule!! (as my daughter would say!)
Congratulations on the first "official" cleanup of the year, and THANK YOU
for your wonderful example to all of us!

Subject: [Mpls] "Adopt A Street"

Saturday morning, three list members took my challenge and joined us for our
thrice cleaning of the street known as 44th Ave. N. The program is worked
through City Solid Waste (Thanks Susan) and Hennepin County. This is our 6th
year.

City Provides Gloves and heavy duty yellow bags.
County Puts your organization name up in lights (really a sign).
Local Sponsors, Camden Coffee and Kowalski's provided the snacks and
refreshments.
Webber-Camden & Victory provided the muscle.

Mr. Mark Snyder (List Member and Dueling housing opinion opponent of mine)
drove to the other side of the Lowry Bridge to help us out. Anyone from
Windom Park need a volunteer or an expert on Crimefree
multi-housing/resident retention/screening policy, give me a ring.
