Which community members? What has to be done?

The needs of the people are being met: the city does not have a very bad
crime problem in most parts of the city. I define "bad" as daylight
street robberies, in addition to uncontrolled quality of life crimes.

A perp walking in public with a machete (and a crow bar?), near a park
and two schools in an area known for it's narcotics problem, who
apparently did not comply with a police order to cease and desist, was
stopped by the use of deadly physical force. The police did their job:
to protect the public, and to preserve the peace.
