Sayles Belton bears some responsibility here -- she lost decisively because
she didn't start working hard to get reelected until too late in the
campaign.  Also, making the decision to bring National Figures over --
Gore, Maxine Waters, Hasida Lieberman -- etc. to campaign on her behalf
helped cement the impression that she was more interested in the National
Stage than the local one.

Yes, that news made it sound like Andrews might be guilty of something --
and that's an unfair inference with the evidence presented so far.

Yes, that's true.  However, what's interesting is the Republican base here
in Minnesota isn't excited about Coleman, and are going to sit on their
hands.  Coleman is going to have a similar problem as SSB.  

The real question is whether the DFL base is excited about Wellstone -- or
will also sit on their hands.  

But I digress.  

The RNC doesn't have internal Minneapolis politics on their radar screen.
And why do anything to discredit the DFL, when the DFL is doing very well
at discrediting their own party here in the lovely City of Minneapolis.
