I was told several years ago by a Minneapolis police officer that elected city officials are afraid to critizes the police because "We have the pictures". And then the officer laughed, I asked for examples and he gave me two. I can not confirm either of his examples. He was making the point to me that the police will always "win", when they have dirty laundry on elected officials. "If" this is true, we must all come to the conclusion that Mayor Rybak has pretty clean laundry to have the courage to take on the Chief Olson.
