Darn it........I'm sorry, I forgot to sign, again. And I had made such
great Promises to Mr. Brauer.

The below came from Susan Young, Director, Division of Solid Waste and
Recycling of the Public Works Department of the City of Minneapolis.

For those correspondents to the Issues Forum that have City yard waste
collection services, and who live in the Gypsy Moth Quarantine area....and I
believe that you know who you are.......

There will be a ONE TIME collection, Tuesday, April 30, of yard wastes from
the quarantined area. We will be taking bagged yard waste, bundled branches
and shrubbery, and burnable outdoor furniture (picnic tables, etc) that are
marked as "garbage, please take."

For your information, the folks at Hennepin County and at H.E.R.C. have
arranged for us to take this material DIRECTLY to the mass-burn
facility---we won't pass go, we won't lose a pupae, and we'll be
incinerating all of the offending material.

Depending on the actions of the Legislature in allowing the spraying of the
quarantine area, I expect that we will resume regular yard waste collection
services after spraying, when the Dept. of Agriculture gives us the
go-ahead. If there is a delay in spraying, I'll be talking with folks and
determining fi we can do another special collection.
