Eva, I don't think the city has a "one-party" strategy per se...I think
the GOP, the alleged party of personal responsibility, needs to take
some here. Much of the one-partiness has been the result of some lame
and/or out-of-touch candidates.

I know you have frequently criticized your own party's nominees as too
conservative, and to me that's really the problem - until another party
puts up candidates that better reflect Minneapolis citizens' legitimate
values, that party deserves to lose.

Right now, the Greens have a way better chance in Minneapolis than the
GOP....although it's an open question whether we would suffer less at
the statehouse if they became the DFL legislative alternative.
