In the paper today, it says the Minneapolis Delegation is behind a plan to increase food and beverage taxes countywide by .25% and in the downtown by an addition 1%. These types of taxes never go away.
While the legislature has major budget shortfall issues, for the last few weeks the focus has been on the Governor's Mansion and the Stadium. Meanwhile, what are people concerned about -- better road maintenance, better schools. Let the business community and the fans invest in the stadium.
