Alan, I do not want to pretend to know the details of how the victim fell, but I want to clarify that I believe the police acted accordingly and the fact that the victim was shot twice by the police is simply a sad fact of the situation that could not be avoided.
In the movie world “reality” is far from what actually happens. Not to get to far into the forensics of how the human body reacts to stimulus and or even death it is VERY possible that the police were aiming at the shooter and upon rapid succession of bullets being fired the body could have fallen in front of the line of fire intended for the shooter. As for the timing of shots fired, residue and overlapping blood traces are a quick indication, although certainly not the only tools used to determine the situation. I think this sort of questioning is nothing more than a “smoking gun” theory and serves no better than to fuel an already strained police/public relationship.
