As long as we have the history buffs on this list cranked up in high gear on the neighborhood name game, let me throw out this question of History Trivia to the members of the list:

Who can name the aircraft that was built in the auto dealership facility formerly located at 5245 Lyndale Avenue South between 1942 and 1945?  The local company that was building this aircraft for military purposes was DuPonti Aviation, which also had a large hanger out at the airport facility, visible when you used to drive east of Cedar on the Crosstown.  They were acting as a sub-contractor for what other major contractor?

I will give list members until Monday morning to come up with the answer and then on Monday I will post some interesting local history concerning one of the Minneapolis responses to the war effort in WWII. (at least I found it interesting!)
