What a complete utter disaster this legislative session has been to the city. Governor Shrek will veto worthy arts projects that have raised millions on their own, a planetarium I treaured as a kid will not be funded and the ball park will be in St. Paul. We can debate the merits of where a stadium should go, but that will be one less reason for people to spend money downtown during the summer months. No Guthrie, no Planetarium, no Twins.....is our legislative delegation at some blame as to why year after year our city seems to get the civic kick in the rear? Maybe Minneapolis is just too diverse for the white men who govern us, there is too much fear of a place filled with minorities getting too much. I don't know, but it's frustrating in recent years to call this place home.
